About this race
The PSS Imperial Palace Health Run on June 6 offers a relaxed running event circling Tokyo's Imperial Palace, intended for anyone wishing to complete the classic palace loop. Participants can select between one lap (approximately 5 km) and four laps (approximately 20 km), allowing beginners, regular joggers, and more dedicated runners to participate together, regardless of their individual objectives.
The event's atmosphere is intentionally flexible: same-day registration is permitted, minor tardiness is acceptable, and runners have the option to alter their chosen distance while on the course. If the run becomes too demanding, participants may shorten their route; conversely, if feeling energetic, they can extend it. The organizers do request, however, that runners who are fatigued refrain from leaving mid-run to take the train from Takebashi, an occurrence noted as sufficiently common to warrant mention.
