Greatman Kłodawa triathlon

Greatman Kłodawa is a triathlon held in Kłodawa, within Poland’s Lubuskie region, centered on Lake Kłodawskie. It is a fixture of the nationwide GREATMAN Triathlon series, offering athletes several shorter race options, such as 1/8 and 1/4 distances, alongside duathlon and relay events. This competition is suitable for individuals seeking the complete swim-bike-run challenge without the demands of a long-distance triathlon; it also provides courses designed for children and juniors. The race route incorporates the lake for the swimming leg and directs participants through bike and run segments that navigate the adjacent forests, ponds, and tranquil environment. Kłodawa consistently receives positive feedback regarding its organization, with the clarity and safety of the courses frequently highlighted as key strengths. The event attracts a diverse range of participants, not limited to seasoned triathletes; beginners also compete, supported by the shorter distances and the more relaxed atmosphere. The event is managed by GreatMan, positioning it as part of a larger Polish series rather than an isolated local competition.

About cycling & running in Kutno

Kutno Training Notes

Running: Kutno runners keep it simple and local. Wiosny Ludów park is the easy meet-up, and parkrun Kutno gives everyone a 5 km hit at 9:00 on Saturday. The route runs three even laps, with a gentle rise at the start of each lap and a 200-meter downhill around 1 km. Locals use it for intervals, comeback runs, or a clean benchmark without making a big trip. The small scene shows up through Honorowy Bieg Kadecki, Czwartki Lekkoatletyczne at Stadion MOSiR Kutno, and nearby starts like XI Rykowisko Ultra Trail Szybkie Badyle.

Cycling: Kutno riders build base miles on lowland roads. Bike Club Kutno is the name you hear first, with the club built around time together, regional trips, useful detours, fun, and a bit of reset. The Kutno Kaliskie Kujawskie route is the obvious line when you want steady Z2 instead of drama. The west wind gives the ride its bite, with southwest pulls in winter and northwest pushes in summer. The climbs stay modest because this is central Poland lowland country, so locals look toward Lake Kłodawa, Greatman Klodawa Triathlon, and Duathlon Strykow for bigger anchor days.

Season: Kutno seasons reward consistency. July and August bring the hottest stretch, so runners take parkrun early and cyclists stack base miles before the day gets heavy. July brings the wettest average month with 73 mm, so locals still keep a jacket in the kit bag. December and January change the rhythm, and January is the coldest marker with the least rainfall at 30 mm. Snow falls on average 39 days a year, so winter turns runs toward steady footing, while bikes shift from fast road days to cautious Z2, cyclocross habits, or short spins when the roads allow it.
