ŻTC BIKE RACE

ŻTC Bike Race is a Polish amateur road cycling series run by Żyrardowskie Towarzystwo Cyklistów, with racing split across FIT RACE and SUPER PRESTIGE classifications. The season opens in Grójec, where the event base sits by Hala Spartakus on Sportowa Street and the start list can reach about 250 riders. FIT RACE is open to anyone, so the field is not just licensed racers chasing results; it also gives local amateurs and riders from the wider region a place in the peloton. The Grójec course is an 18 km loop on technical roads beside the S7 expressway, running through Skurów toward Józefów. Riders complete different distances by category, from 2 laps up to 7, which makes the same circuit work for several age and ability groups. The loop is built for fast peloton riding, with technical vehicles at the front, police controlling traffic on closed sections, and volunteer firefighters helping along the route. The wider series includes eight elimination races and ends with a final in Żyrardów, plus overall prizes that include a week-long apartment stay for selected classification winners.

36. Międzynarodowy Wyścig Kolarski „Solidarności” i Olimpijczyków

The Solidarity and Olympians International Cycling Race is a Polish multi-stage road race held annually since 1990, typically in late June and early July. It is part of Poland’s ProLiga series and the UCI Europe Tour, holding a UCI 2.2 rating. Consequently, the field consists mainly of Polish squads and foreign UCI Continental teams, rather than WorldTour teams. The race is organized by the Łódź Region of NSZZ “Solidarność” along with the Polish Olympians Association and host-city authorities, and it runs under the patronage of the Polish Olympic Committee. The route varies by edition but is structured as a point-to-point race across Polish cities, with stages that have included Łódź, Jarosław, Strzyżów, and Kielce, among other hosts. One past route spanned over 700 km across five voivodeships, and its most demanding stage covered more than 200 km with six mountain primes, indicating the race is not solely a flat sprinters’ event. Stages also feature intermediate sprints and special primes, encouraging riders to attack before the finish. Piotrkowska Street in Łódź adds a local element with a children’s mini-race, and the winners’ list includes Marceli Bogusławski and Tomasz Brożyna, the race’s sole three-time winner.

garmin iron triathlon rawa mazowiecka

The Garmin Iron Triathlon Rawa Mazowiecka begins at Zalew Tatar by ul. Tatar. The transition area and finish line are located nearby on the same street in Rawa Mazowiecka. This event is part of the Garmin Triathlon Tour in Łódzkie Voivodeship, typically held in late July, and features three race distances: 1/2 IM, 1/4 IM, and 1/8 IM. The race distances range from a 0.475 km swim, 22.5 km bike, and 5.275 km run for the shortest option, up to a 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike, and a half-marathon run for the longest. Race logistics, including the race office for bib collection, are centered around ul. Tatar. Local sports organizations, the city, LABOSPORT Polska, and the Polish Triathlon Association collaborate on the event, which also serves to promote triathlon and Rawa Mazowiecka.

Running: Locals keep running simple in Opoczno. The city centre gives you easy starts, and the Wąglanka and Drzewiczka give the town its natural lines. The Wyżyna Przedborska plateau keeps the ground honest enough for steady Z2 and sharper intervals. Ludowy Klub Sportowy Ceramika Opoczno is the local club name people know. Opoczyński Bieg z Wandą Panfil is the anchor event here. Kunicki Bieg Reggae, Vikings Run Piesn Zeglarzy Elite Run, Dycha Justynów-Janówka, Human Machine 100 Km, and Ultra Fajna Ryba give runners more targets nearby.

Cycling: Riders get more mapped options than runners here. Opoczno has 198 cycle routes mapped, so you can pick easy base miles, a fast road loop, or a longer gran fondo ride. The 'Opoczno - Gmina Morawica' route runs 100 km with 545 m of ascent. ŻTC BIKE RACE 2025 is the anchor race, and Marek Galiński gives the cyclocross and cross-country crowd a real local reference.

Season: July and August are the best months, and most people cycle in July and August. The route is 5 km with 97 m of ascent. Runners use the same warm window for steady volume before race efforts. Winter changes the feel for both sports. Locals keep the work tighter, with runners leaning into intervals and riders treating the colder months as Z2, maintenance, and the quiet build before the next race calendar.
