Winters Couch to Track Charity Challenge

The Winters Couch to Track Charity Challenge is a May track fundraiser at Winters High School in Winters, California, organized by the Winters Runners and Walkers Club. It is set up for kids and adults, with options for beginners trying their first mile, walkers, run-walkers, and faster racers chasing a track effort. The race menu is simple: a 1-mile challenge of 4 laps, a 5K challenge of 12.2 laps, and an Unlimited Challenge where the goal is to complete as many laps as possible during the event window. Everything happens on the high school track, so the course is flat, contained, and easy for spectators to follow. Participants move counterclockwise, faster runners use the inside lanes, and walkers or slower participants use the outer lanes; strollers are allowed in the outer lanes, but dogs and bicycles are not allowed on the track. The event is self-timed, with numbered bibs for everyone, water on the course, post-race food, and gift awards for challenge finishers while supplies last. Proceeds support a scholarship fund for Winters High School seniors who participated in track and cross-country and plan to attend college.

The Napa Lapa Trail Adventure

The General and The Mrs. Run for the Heroes takes place on Memorial Day weekend beside Omaha Brewing in Omaha, Georgia. Participants can select from a 1-mile run to timed races of 6, 12, 24, 48, or 72 hours. A 6-person relay is available for the 72-hour option. The event is chip timed, with a "run as you please" approach open to all ability levels. The course is a roughly 1-mile trail loop, allowing frequent returns to aid, crew, and personal gear. Runners may establish personal aid stations or tents along the loop. A full aid station with standard snacks and real food is also provided. Omaha Brewing offers access to brewery bathrooms and food trucks (for an additional cost), creating a base-camp atmosphere for the long-format races. The event benefits the House of Heroes, Chattahoochee Valley Chapter.
