Through the Smoke Road Race

The Through the Smoke Road Race begins at the Mandan Firefighters Training Grounds, leading runners through the Lakewood area of Mandan, North Dakota. Mandan Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 4984 organizes this event, which features a family-friendly 5K, a timed competitive 5K, a timed 10K, and a half-mile race for children 10 and under. The family 5K is designed for a relaxed pace, permitting dogs and strollers. The competitive races offer professional timing, shirts, and finisher medals. A Kids Fire Safety Fun Zone is available at the start area, and proceeds benefit the Mandan Firefighters, funding fitness equipment and advanced training.
